Colombo

A city where modern life and architecture coexist, as well as old colonial buildings and ruins from the time it was the capital of British Ceylon. Historically, Sri Lanka has long been dominated by the Netherlands, Portugal and Great Britain, and its lines still reflect Colombo’s cultural heritage.

Gangaramaya Temple is Colombo’s most famous temple and one of the best places in Colombo.  Also, there is the smallest Buddha statue in the world, so let’s go find it.

The Colombo National Museum gives an overview of historical developments, countries and people. The museum also displays items belonging to the former royal family of Sri Lanka, such as the golden throne and crown of the king. It’s a really nice museum!

The Red Mosque is one of the most unique mosques in Asia and is located in the heart of the Petta Market. Its facade is reminiscent of Candy Cane and is an important religious monument to Colombo. But not only the beauty of the appearance, the intern at this place will surely take your breath away.  The unusual red color of this building draws you in and is considered one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Colombo.

You can visit unique temples, beautiful mosques and quiet parks. At Vihara Mahadebi Park, you can ride a pedal boat on a small lake and horseback riding. If you visit Colombo, you should try the street food. Bring out the foodies in you and enjoy the best dining experience.
