Ella is a beautiful little village in the hills of Sri Lanka, about a 30-minute drive from the popular town of Bandarawela on the southeastern tip of the hill. The season for climbing this mountain, also known as “Sripada,” begins in December and ends on Poya’s day of the full moon in May.
